2011 has just passed and I am sitting down here reflecting on what had happened for the last 1 year. 2011 had several memorable events that had happened to me and I would like to share it out with everyone here.

I started the year with motivation knowing that 2011 will be life changing year for me. In April I decided to quit from a freelance trainer in ChartNexus after been with them for more than 2 years. I felt that I could reach a bigger audience by doing it from YouTube and sharing it out with everyone for free, but I guess that is not the company policy. Therefore given that choice, I rather strike it out on my own. Why the drastic decision? That was because in June, I celebrated my 40th birthday. To me, 40th is like a younger generation 21st birthday. If I don’t make a change this year, I guess my destiny will be fixed for the rest of my life. I rather chase after the unknown rather than having a routine. Doing it for me for free in YouTube is much better than doing it for free for someone else.

But it is easier said than done. I build my first website http://www.sgxstocks.com without much website building knowledge and as you can see, it is really bad. I got very frustrated because there are so many things I want to do but I just do not have the skills. After enough frustration, I enrolled in an internet marketing course under Teddy Wu and it is there I learned that there are lots of widgets, and it is just not necessary to learn html programming to get things done. Thanks Teddy for opening my eyes to internet marketing. And from there, this website ChartingAcademy.com was born. Main reason why I created this website is for traders. I realized that there are a lot of information out in the internet but it is very frustrating for traders to figure out what it means, how to apply it in the real world, especially for those trading Singapore stocks. Initially I came out with YouTube because it is a lot easier for me to explain and for traders to understand what technical analysis means and how it applies to stocks, not only in Singapore, but also to forex, futures all over the world. And from there, weekly Thursday morning webinar was born so that there will be interaction from fellow traders and the rest is history.

I would like to thank you for supporting me for 2011, and I hope you will continue to support me and share my website with your trading partners. Moving forward in 2012, I have lots of plans and all of it is for you as a token of appreciation from me to you. I started the email alert is also for you as a way to get information out to you as soon as I spotted it. But do take note that I do not want to abuse this “alert” by sending it out everyday or every week. Only when I feel a need, I will send it out because if I send an alert out to you everyday, you will get numb. But do remember to read the rules of trade before you make your decision. And please, please do not show hand just because I mention a trade worth taking because I will cut loss if it hit my cut loss. I am not perfect which means not all my trade are profitable. All I want to make sure is that the profitable trade is a lot more than the losing trade.

Project 7 is already in plan and it is also for you. And it will be a surprise, ke ke ke.

As you can see, I am so looking forward to 2012 because there will be wonderful trades coming very soon and let us all huat together. I am an open book and will always constantly update my profile so that you will know what I have in mind.
